Personally when pulling my trailer I fuel and get def at the pump at Truck stops . Cheaper and they go thru a lot of it so age of DEF is not an issue . Price of DEF varies jut make sure it is not old . You can buy a Def tester they show the concentrate level , on line
I had a cracked fuel tube on a 8V92 Detroit . You can smell your oil on the dip stick If there is diesel in it you will be able to smell it . I know it may sound funny but you can also taste antifreeze in your oil . Good luck on driving around with 2 gallons of diesel in it . Hope they fix it...

I guess their truck designers are seriously lacking in ideas or the company is to too cheap to do a complete redesign on Hd's . Until they do I am keeping my 2020 !
If you are going to idle for long periods you need to bump the idle up to at least a 1000 RPM's . Even in the old trucks you raised the idle to prevent cylinder wash / oil dilution .
I just put a jug of blue def in my truck . I flattened the card board box and under the bottom inside flap was the date in plain english 8 November 23 . Naturally you have to take the box apart to read it . It would be to easy to do that on the outside of the box .
Buy a battery tester on line . Not expensive and very easy to use . you can run battery life , volts ,cold cranking amps etc . Saves you much time money and frustration when trying to figure out if they are good or bad .
