Looks good. I like the design. What do you think of the build quality?
Solid for $650. The next closest upgraded bumper was $1400 or so and it's probably not as good but for half the price I'm ok with it. Especially because the nearest chrome rear bumper I found on car-part was $800.

So I got sick of the Neverending Winter and took my truck into work and did 3 of my mods I've been waiting to do. Carli mini packs, rear diff guard, and cjc off road shock guards. The mini packs added exactly 1" to the rear height and aren't too bad to install, especially the second side. The shock guards will make any shock change a pain but hopefully that isn't a common thing. The diff guard is a purple cranium spider, literally the only one I've found made for the 12" rear axle that comes on the HO.

Finally started the front bumper project. Not near as easy as some of the videos make it look, but not too bad. Still need to finish the welding and mount the lights but it is moving along now.

Finally got the front bumper assembled, raptor coated, and installed on the truck last Friday. Turned out better than I could have hoped for a couple of rookies building it. Even got the cjc off road intercooler guard to work with it.

Also about a month ago I installed the Banks Ram air intake. For the price I am not too happy with its fitment, mainly with the factory scoop. I'm trying to work that out with Banks engineers though. So far empty mileage has improved around half of a mpg and towing seems to be about the same.

Nice build.
Front bumper looks good even though I'm not a fan of these new style angled bumpers. You did a good job with it. Do they make a provision for the front parking sensors? Or would you have to drill them out yourself?

I know there are a couple of different air filters for the truck, but do any of them really make a difference over the factory one? I mean the factory on is already a true cold Air Intake. So what's the big claim by the aftermarket ones? You said you got about 1/2 MPG better but that could easily be attributed to a lot of different things.

But its all looking good.

There is no provision for the sensors but people do cut out the holes themselves. The angled look grew on me but I would have much preferred the aev front bumper. I just couldn't justify the price they want for it. If I take into account buying all of the supplies and all of the man hours I have into the build of the bumper though I would be about at the cost of the aev...

The claim to fame is they flow more air, and the Banks flows the most. I keep track of every single tank of fuel and my last tank while camping and not hooked to the camper although only 70ish miles I averaged 19.7 mpg. That is by far the highest I've ever gotten. Believe me or don't believe me it doesn't affect me either way, but I know it helped the mileage.

Still going through videos and pictures from summer trips. Went to Windrock Tennessee in July and another trip to Michigan's UP and Drummond Island in August. Was supposed to have Maple Offroad rock sliders for the Windrock trip but they didn't show up until the week before my August trip, and they showed up wrong at that. For anyone who reads this and is looking for sliders definitely go with White Knuckle. I went with Maple because it was slightly cheaper, essentially paid for the non slip coating but he has provided zero help or compensation when it comes to me having spent $2700 on rock sliders I will have to cut up and re weld myself.
Anyway... The 2 videos from Drummond...

Photo dump #2, and also a slight explanation for why I have a bunch of pin stripes down the side of my truck...

Here are the pictures from Windrock, definitely fun but long days since there a ton of trails there. Also expensive since they charge per person no matter the age of the passengers.

Windrock has a nice system of trails but I’ve never checked it out for my own reasons. Looks like you had a good time and stretched the trucks legs a bit which is always fun

Yeah, it was a lot of fun. We stayed at their campground and was not a fan of how anything you wanted to do seemed to cost money. It should not cost $220 for me, my wife, and a 3 year old and 8 year old to drive on your trail for 3 days... Want to use the rc course? Costs money. Want to go hiking? That costs more money. That's on top of the $45 per night to camp in a field. Had a good time but felt like everything was kind of a rip off.
