Ram Brazil Introduces Exclusive 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo Edition Special Edition:

Get Ready To Saddle Up...

After the success of the 2020 Ram 2500 Laramie Night Edition last year and a continuation of high sales so far in 2021, Ram Brazil is now introducing its next special edition Ram Heavy Duty for the Brazilian market. Meet the new 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo. Created exclusively for the Brazilian market, the Rodeo pays tribute to the men and women who drive in the fastest growing sector in the country – agriculture.

Initially limited to only 100 units, this special edition sold out in just 10 hours. This has made Ram Brazil reevaluate the situation on whether or not the automaker should build more of the limited edition.

The Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo was designed to serve those who transport heavy trailers, such as horses for example. With its 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 turbo diesel engine, the Ram 2500 Rodeo is capable of towing up to 17,330 lbs (7,861 kg) thanks to 365 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft. of torque (110.7 kgfm) and its standard trailer sway control (TSC) and trailer brake.

The Laramie Rodeo is the only truck in the Brazilian market, that is factory-prepared for fifth-wheel trailers. By ditching the RamBox® (which is standard on the Brazilian-spec Laramie) the bed is equipped with the Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck Prep Group. This leaves five holes on the bed floor, one of which is the center pin for hitching a gooseneck trailer and the others are four are to mount a fifth-wheel hitch. There is also a 115-volt socket with 4 and 7 pin outlets for powering a trailer.

In addition, the Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo also includes Chrome Flat Wheel-To-Wheel Side Steps, which even stretch between the rear door and the rear wheel to access the bed. Also since the RamBox is absent from the Rodeo, there is more cargo volume in the box as well with 1,628 liters (57.5 cubic feet) of room. That is 402 liters (14.2 cubic feet) larger than the Laramie models equipped with the RamBox storage system.

Inside, the Laramie Rodeo features a 6-passenger seating configuration thanks to the addition of a 40/20/40 front bench seat. The middle jump seat also features a center console when the backrest is lowered. When lowered the center console features an armrest, object holder, and triple cup holder.

Other unique features include the first application of the North American-spec Laramie grille instead of the Limited grille used on export Limited trucks. There are chrome tow hooks and the addition of amber-colored clearance lamps located on the roof of the cab ensuring better visibility of the truck at night. A set of 18-inch x 8-inch Polished Aluminum wheels wrapped with LT275/70R18E Nexen Roadian A/T Pro RA8 tires also help give the Laramie Rodeo a more rugged appearance.

There are also the goodies included in the traditional Brazilian-spec Laramie as well, like the 12-inch Uconnect 4C touchscreen with Navigation, 360° Surround-View camera system, cargo camera, active noise cancellation, and a  9-speaker Alpine premium audio system with a subwoofer.

To help set the Rodeo models apart, there is a new front door-mounted Rodeo emblem, inspired by the buckles delivered to rodeo champions, a sport supported by the Ram brand across the American continent, from North to South. Those who purchase the truck will also receive a metal buckle with the traditional Ram logo as well.

The truck is offered in three exterior colors, Walnut Brown Metallic, Pearl White, and Diamond Black. All Rodeo models are equipped with a Mountain Brown/Light Frost Beige-colored interior. The Mountain Brown/Light Frost Beige interior combination is already the most popular interior color, representing more than half of the Ram 2500 Laramie buyers in the Brazilian market.

2018 Ram Heavy Duty 2500/3500 Laramie Longhorn “Ram Rodeo” Edition (Ram Trucks)

You might remember back in the 2018 model year, that Ram unveiled a Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn Rodeo Edition. That truck featured a Black and Cattle Tan interior, body-colored bumpers, sidesteps, unique L-O-N-G-H-O-R-N text on the tailgate, Fifth-Wheel and Gooseneck Prep Group, rear air suspension, Mopar bed step, Skid Plate Protection Group, and either 20-inch Aluminum Wheels with Painted Pockets with single-rear-wheel applications or 17-inch Polished Aluminum Wheels on dual-rear-wheel trucks.

The 2018 Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn Rodeo Edition also came in five exterior colors like RV Match Walnut Brown, Brilliant Black Crystal, Bright White, Pearl White, Delmonico Red, or Granite Crystal Metallic. The truck featured standard 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 power, while the 6.7-liter Cummins I-6 turbodiesel was optional.

So there is no doubt, that the Laramie Rodeo pays direct homage to that special edition Ram Heavy Duty model.

The 2021 Ram 2500 Laramie Rodeo special edition has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of R $ 437,990 (or $83,676 USD). That is an increase of R $ 10,000 (or $1,910 USD) over the traditional Laramie model.

Ram Brazil will announce at a later date if they plan on producing more of the special edition models.
