Ram Recalls 499 Cummins Powered 2019 Ram HDs:

Fuel Line End Fittings May Be Incorrectly Formed

Ram trucks have issued a recall for a small amount of 2019 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickups, along with 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cab models powered by the 6.7 liter Cummins Turbo Diesel. The recall affects 3500 Chassis Cab models built between May 11th to 17th, of 2019, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs built between May 7th to 17th, 2019, 2500 Pickups built between May 9th to May 18th, 2019, and Ram 3500 Pickups built between May 7th to May 18th, 2019. 

These vehicles are being recalled due to the possibility of fuel leaks arising from incorrectly formed end fittings on the fuel injector supply tubes. Dealers will inspect the fuel lines and replace them if necessary at no costs to owners. FCA has issued a stop-sale on affected trucks in dealer inventories with dealers having to repair them before they are sold. Only 499 trucks are affected.

Ram says there have been no accidents or injuries reported that relate to this recall. This recall began on July 18, 2019, and owners will begin being notified around August 16th, 2019, FCAs recall number for the issue is V76 and owners can contact customer service at 1-800-853-1403.
