The 2019 Ram 3500 With The 3,000,000th Cummins Engine Has Been Sold:

This Is The Lucky Owner's Fifth Cummins Powered Ram...

Back in September, it was announced that Cummins had produced the 3,000,000th engine for Ram Trucks, a significant milestone for a partnership that began in 1988 when the first Cummins powered 1989 Dodge Ram D250 and D350 entered production.

I’m a Cummins man. You just don’t have any trouble with them. It’s a good looking truck, I really like the Cummins engine.

-David Dodd

The milestone engine was then shipped from the Cummins Columbus Mid-Range Engine Plant (CMEP) in Indiana, down to FCA’s Saltillo Truck Assembly Plant in Saltillo, Mexico, where it was installed into a 2019 Ram 3500 Laramie Longhorn Crew Cab Dually 4×4. After production, the truck was shipped to Superior Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Siloam Spring, Arkansas, where it was then purchased by David Dodd, a farmer from Arkansas.

Dodd has a long history with Cummins powered Ram trucks as this is his fifth Ram truck, and it looks as if that trend will be passed down the family as his daughter is now on her second. The Laramie Longhorn will be put to work on the family farm, and with 400 horsepower and 1,000 lb. Ft of torque, the big dually should be able to handle anything thrown at it with ease. Congratulations, David, on owning a piece of Cummins and Ram history.
