30 something young married dad working for scraps will most certainly remember the customer that handed him $100 to spend when that's all he got for his sales commission. ..
Being a "30 something young married dad" myself, starting up my own business with my new truck.... I will definitely consider getting the guy that has been doing all this work for me something similar. Especially knowing he is around my age and has kids around the same age as mine too. Every little bit adds up, and I know it will be appreciated.

Received an email from US customer service this afternoon stating that my ETD to the dealer will be the week of 5/13. Does this mean it has started down the line?

Most likely not yet, probably in a week or so the build will start depending on the options

Not sure how often it happens but my email from US customer service said the ETD would be the week of 4/6 and the truck actually showed up at the dealer on the evening of 4/6.:)

I didn’t get that email until my truck was built and well into the shipping process.

Those emails seem super inconsistent. I have not received any emails, and at the current rate that my truck is moving through shipping, I'm hopeful that it'll show up this week.

My truck was built on 2/26 and it didn't ship until 3/18 so there is no ryme or reason to the updates we get. Hopefully I am getting close to it's arrival now

Well I hope not for your sake but I also read that Some trucks are being built and put aside waiting on chips. The article was not specific as to which ones
From what I was told was the ones being built and put aside were the 1500 classics. But who knows, seems pretty dumb to me that they’re just pulling options out. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot of unhappy people

Hmmmm...that would really suck...

I've got a truck on order and based on the reports I'm seeing on financial news channels, the chip shortage is longer-term supply chain issue and is not going to be addressed in "a few months". Kinda need that 2nd key for how we share vehicles.
That's not what I ordered and I'll be fuming if my truck shows up with one FOB......my wife just bought an Acura and it only had one key. PITA and $200 bucks to get the second one.

Got an update on mine today. It is alegedly on the rails finally.
2021 3500 CC Laramie Dually

2021-01-21 Ordered
2021-01-29 VIN
2021-03-09 Built
2021-03-11 Body vendor for running boards, bed liner, etc.
2021-03-25 Window sticker avail + towing capacity avail
2021-04-10 - Shipped

ETA to dealer is now 4/29-5/13. Original ETA was 3/21. So, about 14-16 weeks total assuming the new ETA holds true. Very confusing the different status updates between RAM cares chat, RAM phone support, and dealer updates.

Just called to see about incentives with hopes my truck will be here soon.
-Conquest cash of $500 for owning my Subaru.
-Financing as follows: 0/36, 2.9/48, 3.9/60

That's all she had to offer. She said to sign up for offers on the website. I thought I did that back in January when I ordered. Will try again I guess but doubtfully anything will show up in time.

Final destination?
Jasper, GA. Wondering if it might arrive earlier. Just not sure what the normal train ride looks like from Saltillo, Mexico to Lawrenceville, GA. I believe that is the rail hub where it gets unloaded and heads to Jasper by truck.

Just talked to my dealer and while not thrilled with the news, at least it is finally on the train, which as of 11:05 last night, has left Saltillo and headed to Lawrenceville, GA. ETA 5/1, but expecting a few days earlier. Originally it was (allegedly) supposed to be leaving by boat on 4/6 with an arrival ETA of today, which was shifted to 4/16. At least now I have a physical copy of the "Vehicle Assignment Leg Details", so I can see that it has in fact left by rail. Final Destination is Charleston, SC which is a 5 hour drive between.

Will update as things evolve.
