Hello all! Out of curiosity, has anyone ever removed the plastic shift knob from one of these trucks (automatic)? And, if you have, what exactly did you do to remove it? I was considering making a titanium knob just to dress things up a little, but I do not want to absolutely butcher the stock shift knob while removing it. Thanks!

pull the gear shift cover off of the column and there's a 10mm nut holding it.

This sounds like a cool project / mod. Assuming you’re happy with the results of yours, perhaps you would be willing to make another for others?

There are a ton of aftermarket shift knobs on Amazon. None in titanium though.

I swapped mine out for an aluminum knob a couple years ago. I think you pry off the cover and remove an allen head screw. It was easy.
