If somebody ever comes up with a easy way to keep the rocks and stuff from getting between the tailgate and bed would probably make a decent amount of money.

Normally I hang a tarp over the tailgate before it gets loaded but this time I didn’t have a tarp

I loaded a bunch of crap into the console. Finally started emptying out my car. Carvana is picking it up next weekend. Need to find some storage bags for my work stuff to put behind the back seat and empty the work stuff out of the trunk. Bought the 2016 Caddy XTS in Dec 2019 for $19,900 and put 35K on it and they are giving me $17,300. I'll put $3K in my pocket for a vehicle that my job paid the note on. Works for me! Thankfully, used values are still stupid.

Had to clean up the drippy mess left over from the guy who installed the window tint. Took him forever to do the install so I figured I'd just clean it myself and save some time

Got my truck back today. Wrap job done in Xpel Satin “Stealth”. Gloss black roof. Tints are 20% to match the back. Front windshield is 50%. Surprisingly, not terribly dark.

Interesting look. I really like the black roof. I did NOT think i'd like the satin wrap, but it actually works. Well done!

You know what I have been doing to me my new truck that I'm not enjoying...... Washing it 3 times a week.

I have had the "$15 unlimited washes" from my local car wash that uses the "everwash" phone app, but I bought a dang dually and I can;t find any car washes that will fit the fat rear end.

I used to be all snippity about hand washing and fighting micro scratches, but then I got older, busier and lazier and found that running my junk through the car was liberating and my car or truck was clean all year. Keeping this giant pig clean is like a second job.... a second job that I don't want! I still hate water spots, brake dust, bird drops, dust and dirt, so I'm forced to wash and wash and wash.

I remember the good ole days when there was a group of kids from a school or church on every other street corner trying to raise money. Car wash and donation all in one.

Yeah..... that died with the kids getting into the computer/playstation/smartphone thing. You barely see kids outside playing any more. Gone are the days of Tarzan rope swings, catching snakes and playing "one pump" with BB guns.

These kids don't know what it's like to live a little.... and break an arm or two from a swing, get a BB pulled out of your flesh with tweezers or get bit by a snake that no one knows what kind it was..... We grew up good and fun back in the 80's. Car washing and grass mowing was a great money maker so you could buy that BB gun to shoot at your buddies, or to buy that Huffy Pro-Lightning that was advertised on Saturday morning during the 4 hour period that cartoons were shown each week.
