Lots of work, but I still love snow days most of the time.

When I can't break free from work to get 'er done before the sun starts melting it, that sucks a little.

So I decided I'm going to just mount some lights to the bumper. But I've been having a hard time finding some that will fit. Until now. Picked up a pair of the new Harbor Freight Roadshock 6 LED spot/flood lights. Can mount them to the bumper with clearance behind so they don't rub on the grill. Not sure if I'm going to use nutcerts or thru bolt with nuts on the back side of the bumper. But that will require removing the bumper.
Seen some good reviews on YouTube about them.

The one thing I worry about with a light mounted there is if the light gets folded back due to hitting something (snow drift ect) it smashes the grille.

Those lights look nice!

There is enough room behind it that it will not hit, unless it bends the bracket or rips it out of the bumper. But the bracket is heavy duty.
Maybe I'll put a reinforcement bar on the underside of the bumper.

what a shame! you can't use those on Public Roads... Better give them to me. I'll stop by and get them.

Got a Carli adjustable front track bar delivered today.



Waiting on a set of Fox 2.0 IFP shocks to be delivered now. Then time to do some work.
Still need to install my lights.
Just been busy working on stuff on the homestead.
Building a 12X10 SheShed for the Boss.

New Carli track bar is in. Not an easy task by yourself, but it's done.
Instructions say to set at 39 1/8 for lifted or 38 7/8 for stock.
Being a factory lift, not sure what applies.
I set it at 39 1/8 but it was too long to fit the holes.
I measured to make sure axle was centered on the truck before I started.
Measured my old track bar at 39. So I set the new one at 39". Measured to make surevaxle was centered. At most, it's off by 32nd of an inch. I drive it a bit and check it again in a week. Then make the necessary adjustments.

I wish someone made a wheel for my truck with the following specs; 18x9" or 20x9" with 40mm positive backspacing, and allow use of oem lug nuts with oem style center cap. Is that too much to ask? The closest thing to that is the AEV 17x8.5" with 27mm positive offset. Or, if Ram wants to be very conservative, give me a 18x8.5 or 20x8.5 with 45mm backspacing, this would at least allow me to run a 35x12.5 and be in spec on wheel width, and would not rub the factory sway bar or radius arms....
To add INSULT to INJURY, AEV makes the exact fitment I want but for a CHEV/GMC 2500 ZR2; 18x9" with the correct offset for the Chev/GMC...
PS. While I am dreaming, I also want that wheel in a fully forged construction for under $750 per wheel. RRW makes all the right stuff for Toyota Tacoma, et al... https://www.relationsracewheels.com...products/rs6-h-hybrid-17x8-5-monoforged-wheel

I’m in the same boat as you on the wheel search. I love AEVs +27mm as it keeps it tucked in but don’t like the 17” tire choices. AEV is coming out with a 18x9 wheel for rams but I don’t know what the offset is yet. It’s made to allow them to run BFGs 40” HD terrain and others. They said it should be released soon, but you can see it on a semi truck they had and one other build. It’s pretty similar to the Chevy 2500 ZR2 wheel.

Is this photo of the new Ram wheel? 18x9" If its 27mm or more positive offset and they are priced competitively, I'm buying!!! where can I find more info?

On AEVs instagram page this truck is running them. Also on April 17th they said the 18x9 Salta HD is coming. I called AEV about a month ago asking about release date and all they said was soon and that it’s 18x9 and will have an offset different than the current wheels. So curious what the offset is going to be.

Got the new shocks installed.




Also readjusted the front track bar. Carli numbers are correct. 39 1/8".
Front axle is perfect center now.

Tomorrow is a 150 mile road trip to check them out. Headed down to Carson City.
Factory shocks still had a charge in them.

Do you have the shock measurement installed?
From middle of bolt to the rubber bushing?

Sorry, I didn't take one. But the are made for the Power Wagon which has a 2" lift from the factory.
Box states for a 3 to 4 inch lift for the front shocks.
0 to 1 1/2 inch lift for the rear shocks.

Looks like it has 10.6" travel front and 9.1" travel rear.
