I love the concept of the Air-topper, but they have themselves priced too high. When a softopper is about 3x cheaper, it is a harder sell.

I have a few products made of that same material, and it doesn't pack up small either and gets stained really easily.

Anyone here by any chance tried the AIR-Topper by getflated ? https://getflated.com/products/air-topper?variant=40058622148776

i looked at them because they have roots in my town and i worked with someone who was related to the founders. There were a few of them running around and through this connection I could have finagled something like a 20% discount and I thought about it but Ultimately i could not justify getting one. The more I saw them the less appealing look wise they became.

I ended up with a hard 3 flip tonneau cover. I wanted a hard camper shell/cap but with buying a gooseneck in the near future I can get an offset hitch and still cover a lot of the bed. With the soft topper it was all or nothing, and I liked the idea of still having a little covered space in the bed. I also noticed that the soft topper took up quite a bit of space at the front of the bed when being stored.

Has anyone ordered a Leer cap with the RXF (I think it's the right code) paint code? I guess its the paint code which matches the flat black on Jeep Gladiators and is supposed to look like this:

Does anyone know if the Leer 100XL is "pre-wired" for the remote lock? Basically, does the rear window have the wire terminals on the top and bottom so you can connect the lock wires on the top of window and then there is internal glass wiring down to where the lock is? Thank you in advance.

I have been using hard shell truck canopies for over 50 years on pickemups. I sleep in the back of my 2500 a lot. I have a Leer top with slide windows. It is water tight and does not leak. I used to have an ARE but it leaked and the people that built it wanted $100 an hour to fix it. The Leer is nicely finished fiberglass with tracks for a Yakima rack. The glass is nice and tinted. The front window has a slide for ventilation for sleeping. It was not cheap and it took a couple of months of waiting for it to be built, but it was worth it in the end. I have a Delmonico red Ram but had the canopy painted silver so I can spot my truck in a parking lot from a long way away.

It’s probably been asked somewhere in the last 29 pages but I don’t want to miss out on this deal! Will a 2019 ram 1500 topper fit the 2022 ram 2500? Same bed length.

If it’s for a 1500 Classic then yes, otherwise no.

I had an ARE topper for 20 years. The company provided poor support when the windows leaked and the unit started to fall apart. They wanted $100 an hour to fix it.
This time I got a Leer Top.

I would imagine almost nothing within the ARE facilities is the same today as it was 20+ years ago. I've only had my MX since 2020 but in that time I've had zero issues.

Diesel trucks stay on the road a long time. Twenty years is no big deal.

Here it is. ARE MX. Installed yesterday. I love it.

Ha... great choice, almost the same as mine!
I added the LED light strips and connected them to the bed lights rather than use the small light that came with the cap.
